Section 4: Roof

1. Facing the house, begin from left side of room.

2. Determine if installing to rafter rails.

3. Pre-drill roof header channel with 3/16" holes approximately 10" on center if mounting to house wall or to match rafter tails if installing on fascia. Install two strips of putty tape on back of header. Caulk the back top edge of roof header channel. Place roof header channel on top of sidewalls, leaving equal overhang on each end of unit.

4. Secure with 2" hex head screws. NOTE: Before installing roof, determine sequence of roof panels. Review for two foot panels or fan beam(s). If beginning with a male edge to the outside, square cut this edge to accommodate fascia before installing panel. Slide first panel into roof header channel and flush with left end of roof header channel. Check overhang measurement. There should be the same amount of overhang at roof header channel and at front corner of room.

5. Secure on bottom and top side of roof header channel with 8 x 9/16 Tek screws, 4 per side. Along the front wall, secure the entire roof using four, 4" hex head screws and washers for each panel, and one, 4" screw and washer every twenty inches up each side wall. NOTE: keep all screws a minimum of 3" away from roof seams.

6. Clean roof panel joints with acetone. CAUTION: DO NOT GET ON EPS FOAM!

7. Slide second panel up into roof header channel. With panels 4 inches apart push second panel sharply into the first panel, forcing the ez-lok together with the first panel. Secure roof panel to roof header channel and front wall.

IMPORTANT: Install remaining roof panels in the same manner until you reach the last panel. This one may need to be cut to size to match end of roof header channel.

8. Measure front roof edge and cut gutter to length.

9. Measure from edge of roof to center of corner post. Transfer this measurement to gutter and cut opening for drop outlet. Caulk and install outlet.

10. Install gutter, using four #8 x 9/16 Tek screws on top and bottom of E-gutter channel per roof panel.

11. Measure left and right side of roof edge from roof header channel to front edge of gutter. Cut fascia to length and notch to fit. Install, then caulk where fascia and gutter meet.

11. Install downspout and elbows.

12. Caulk all roof seams, front edge of header, edges of gutter and fascia and all screw heads, on top of roof.

13. Install flashing where necessary.

14. Install remaining Tek screws, both inside and outside, through base and top cap channel where wall sections mate together.

15. Install a minimum of one Tek screw approximately half way up where wall panels mate, making sure wall panels are completely mated before installing screws.

16. Check the room for any missing screws, and caulk any areas inside the room that are necessary.

17. On outside of room, caulk the bottom of kickplate panel to the top edge of base channel using silicone caulk. Be sure to fill spline groove (if applicable). Also caulk the sides of kickplate and filler panels to prevent water intrusion.

18. Open door and caulk door opening on floor area against threshold and door jambs.

Note: Unless otherwise stated, use 8 x 9/16" hex head screws which are provided with your package.
